Job Description

Amotec is condusting a search for a Customer Service Manager. Our client is a division of a $3B+ privately held organization that manufactures components for the Automotive Industry, located north of Dallas, TX. The Customer Service Manager will lead and motivate the Customer Service Department, ensuring for proper entry and selection of products and pricing is adequate.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and direct Customer Service and inside Sales activities and personnel
  • Be the customer representative through the receipt of order, procurement process, production process and monitor finished product
  • Provide feedback to/from internal and external customers on a timely basis to resolve issues and provide outstanding customer service
  • Coordinate product planners and shippers
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with customer contacts
  • Use proactive approach to improve on-time delivery and aide to reduce total lead-time
  • Document and initiate corrective action process for customer concerns
  • Confirm order and communicate to customers
  • Handle quotes and pricing
  • Ensure timely and accurate ASN's according to specific customer shipping instructions
  • Supply POD's when required
  • Utilize OEM database for all aftermarket
  • Organize and develop an effective staff that is committed to continuous improvement and the organizations' goals
  • Continuous improvement and development of systems in support of process improvement and elimination of waste
  • Assist outside sales with pricing models and product selection
  • Utilize feedback from customers and create ideas for engineering to design
  • Attend daily production meetings and plant walks, along with customer complaint meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years' supervision experience required
  • 3+ years' experience in manufacturing, materials or production control required

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience using MRP system preferred
  • Strong leadership skills required.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects required.
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Language - Be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Energetic - Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
