Amotec is searching for Electronics Assembly/Wire Harness Assembly workers for an electronics company that specializes in low volume, high mix electronics manufacturing for the aerospace, defense, industrial, and medical industries. This position is located at our client's Perry, Ohio location and includes great benefits after 90 days of employment!


Electronics Assembly/Wire Harness Assembly Job Description


Electronics Assembly/Wire Harness Assembly includes the electromechanical assembly process for fabricating the enclosure and installing the subassemblies, components, routing cabling and wire harnesses. In addition, it includes the assembly of parts into cables and harnesses, and for the conformance to established specifications. Essential duties include:

  • Set-up and run at least (1) work cells using manufacturing instructions
  • Demonstrate proper technique for preparing wires and crimping terminals and pins per established workmanship standards
  • Demonstrate proper cable assembly techniques to ensure reliability and to avoid damaging cable and connector
  • Operate and verify torque of torque wrenches
  • Follow requirements for 1st piece inspections and in-process audits
  • Demonstrate proper handling precautions when working with process chemicals and materials
  • Work without assistance using manufacturing instructions and wire board with acceptable quality results

Electronics Assembly/Wire Harness Assembly Job Requirements


  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and have good judgment.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • All applicants are required to complete a background check and drug screen

Physical Demands:

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Constantly finger, grasp, hear, do repetitive motions 90-100% of the time; frequently reach, 60-90% of the time; Occasionally stoop, stand, push, pull, lift, talk 30-60%.

  • Compensation: $10.50-$15/hour
  • This position is for 1st-shift
