Amotec is conducting a search for a Plant Systems Lead Analyst. Our NE Ohio client, a global manufacturer in the food and beverage industries, has an immediate need for a Lead Analyst - Plant Information Systems. The individual has responsibility for systems optimization, compliance, and technician skill development relative to plant Information Systems. He/she assumes a leadership role with regard to plant information systems, equipment specification and maintenance, proper operation, technician development, troubleshooting and repair to achieve or exceed reliability targets. This includes communication and coordination of plant systems performance issues and project activities with Corporate Information Services. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Serves as primary administrator and troubleshooter for plant manufacturing execution systems (MES) (GE Proficy Schedule, Quality, Reliability, and Historian, Real Time Information Portal (RTIP), ACP Thin Manager HMI software and email/text alarm notification systems)
  • Contributes to and maintains VM environment, Server platform and the Network Architecture system standards and upgrades; performs server, VM and network performance monitoring against baselines on a regular basis; resolves abnormal situations before they impact the overall network performance
  • Serves as primary plant resource on plant network and IS system standards and owns technical documentation for these systems; supports Controls Engineering in interface with PLC network
  • As 'Proficy Super User' Community Member, serves as key plant contact, participates in corporate Proficy support meetings and responds to questions from the plant community
  • Defines and manages application security and access (Microsoft Active Directory), including external vendor access

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A technical Bachelor's Degree is required; an Engineering, CIS, MIS, or Computer Science degree is preferred
  • At least 3 years of plant information systems experience is required
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Mechanical and electrical experience in CPG or pharmaceutical experience is preferred
