Amotec is hiring a Purchasing Agent/Buyer for a manufacturing operation. This position will be located in Solon, OH.

Purchasing Agent Job Description

Experienced Purchasing Agent is needed for a multi-national, multi-location operation with manufacturing and distribution operations. Must be experienced with purchasing and inventory utilizing ERP system and related integrated inventory management systems. This position requires the ability to follow-up and research requests from the sales team, generating purchase orders and working with vendors.

  • Generate, confirm and follow-up with purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
  • Obtain price quotes, availability of material and maintain inventory levels
  • Schedule/order raw materials based on production demands
  • Track inventory and support physical inventories
  • Approve vendor invoices and inbound freight invoices
  • Keep inventory costs current by addressing any vendor price increases and update inventory/purchasing records in the accounting (ERP) system

Purchasing Agent Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree is a plus (High School Diploma or Equivalent minimum)
  • 5+ years of previous buying experience
  • Inventory and logistics experience is ideal
  • ERP experience
  • Ability to bend, lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • All applicants are required to complete a background check and drug screen

Additional Information:

  • Compensation: $48,000/annually
